– SQUILLACE (CZ) – 23 OCTOBER 2023 – Baseball returns to the province of Catanzaro thanks to the provincial committee of the Italian Sports Center (Csi).
A demonstration of “baseball 5” was held in Squillace Lido, in the “Simone Carabetta” park, as part of an interactive day with games for everyone, third stage of the “Fibs Calabria Baseball and Softball” project in collaboration with the Csi of Catanzaro and “Baseball on the Road.”
The event was organized by the majority municipal councilor of Squillace Antonio Primerano, who is also the provincial president of the CSI.
The sporting event was organized by the Fibs Calabria manager Massimo Giardina and the third baseman of Cus Cosenza Baseball David R. Feliz.
The intent was to bring baseball back to the province of Catanzaro which experienced exciting moments in the 1980s.
During the event the kids had the opportunity to train in the inflatable batting tunnel and simulate a game of baseball 5, a new reduced version of baseball present this year in the Italian student championships.
