Last weekend, the Croatian Cup was held in Donja Stubica in the last, 4th round for categories U 11, 13, 15, 17, and 19 in badminton. Players in the categories up to 11, 15 and 19 years old performed on Saturday, and players up to 13 and 17 years old on Sunday. The young people from Bjelovar from the Badminton Club Bjelovar also showed their skills.
In the youngest competition, Tia Rakovčan finished in fifth place in singles, and in a pair with Lara Čaloš from Osijek, she won the bronze medal. In the boys’ category, Noa Đuranec took ninth place.
Iva Aušperger won a bronze medal for girls up to 13 years old in singles, as well as in pairs where she performed with Sven Mlinarić (BK ZM). Lucija Alebić took sixth place.
Marija Komljenović took 12th place in the under-15 category, and Jurica Dvornik took 15th place in the boys category.
Saša Ćurčić, prof., president of the Badminton Club Bjelovar, congratulated all the players on their results and wished them good luck and success in the following competitions (Regional Cup next Saturday, ZBL on November 28 and Croatian Championship next month).
