at 17, Félix Lebrun wins the Antalya tournament

The French table tennis player dominated the 9th player in the world, Dimitrij Otcharov, in the final, which should allow him to enter the Top 10 in the rankings.

His crazy rise continues. At 17, for the first time in his young career, Félix Lebrun won a WTT singles tournament. Sunday in Antalya (Turkey), he won in the final against the German Dimitrij Otcharov, former world number 1. The Frenchman won after a very close duel in seven sets (11-4, 5-11, 15-13, 14-12, 8-11, 9-11, 12-10). A title which crowns an extraordinary week for Félix Lebrun, since he had already eliminated in the quarters the 4th in the world, the Brazilian Hugo Calderano, before confirming against the Swede Anton Källberg (19th).

This success in Antalya should allow him to enter the world Top 10 when the new ranking is published. Nine months before the Paris Olympic Games, Félix Lebrun is building up confidence, while his brother, Alexis, is not far away either, with his 18th place in the ranking, the two forming a formidable men’s doubles.
