“A fine tactician, a true analyst”: with Lagisquet, Portugal is enjoying the Rugby World Cup

Thirty-six years later, Patrice Lagisquet will return to Australia in the Rugby World Cup. In 1987, during the first World Cup in history, the French winger participated in the legendary action which resulted in Serge Blanco’s victorious try in the last minute of the semi-final against the Wallabies (30-24) . In Saint-Étienne, this Sunday (5:45 p.m. on France 2), it is at the head of Portugal that Patrice Lagisquet will once again challenge the Australians. A completely different challenge for the 61-year-old coach and former Blues winger with 46 caps.
