In the women’s +78kg final, athlete Pan Wendi, trained and sent by Weifang Children’s Sports School, won the championship.

A total of 446 athletes from 41 teams from 26 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions across the country participated in this competition. The Weifang Children’s Sports School Women’s Judo Team trained and sent 4 athletes to participate.
The competition adopts the latest judo competition rules of the International Judo Federation, the time is set to 4 minutes, there is no time limit for overtime, and a single elimination quarter-resurrection system is adopted. After four days of fierce competition, Wendi Pan won the championship in the women’s +78kg category, and Gao Jialin won the fifth place in the women’s -57kg category. According to the competition regulations, the top 16 athletes at each level in the preliminaries will be qualified to advance to the finals. In the end, three athletes trained and sent by Weifang Children’s Sports School, Pan Wendi, Gao Jialin, and Jiao Yu, entered the finals.

Pan Wendi, born in 2004, was selected for the provincial team in 2013. She performed well in the 2023 National Youth Judo Championship held in May this year and won the U20 +78 kg championship. In the previous 25th Shandong Provincial Games Judo Competition and the 2022 They also won the championship in the National Youth Judo Championships.
