The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) released a new update of the Women’s Basketball World Ranking, in which the national team rose four places, and is currently in position number 42 in the world team count, and occupies the ninth place in America.
The announcement was made by FIBA, after carrying out the respective continental competitions in 2023. According to the aforementioned instance, Venezuela went from 147.1 points (previous ranking) to 180.0 points, in the last count, so it went from the box 46 to 42.
In the South American ranking, Venezuela surpassed the Mexican team and the Virgin Islands. It should be noted that the Women’s National team finished sixth in the FIBA AmeriCup 2023, with a record of 1-4 and qualified for the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games, and the American Olympic Pre-Qualification Tournament.
