Volksbank Dreiländereck supports another ten associations and non-profit institutions with a donation of 20,000 euros. They come from all over the business area.
The donation recipients met on Monday at the Volksbank headquarters in Lörrach for a ceremonial handover, the bank announced in a press release. Andreas Rühle, Markgräflerland market area manager, personally handed over the donations – 2000 euros each – to the representatives of the selected clubs.
The following were supported: Dieter Kaltenbach Foundation, Kindergarten Support Association in Ötlingen, Haltingen 1920 Football Club, Grenzach-Wyhlen Judo Club, Child Protection Association, Lörrach Local Association, Brombach Ski Club, Schopfheim Social Station/Diakoniestation, Liel-Niedereggenen Sports Club, TuS Lörrach-Stetten, Department of Karate, TUS Maulburg. “It has always been important to Volksbank Dreiländereck to support the local regional associations in their diverse tasks. The associations and institutions do great things and the work is important and valuable for the people in the region,” explained Andreas Rühle.
All donations come from profit savings. “The attractive combination of winning and saving creates a win-win situation for everyone,” said the Volksbank representative.
The regulations: out of five euros per winning savings ticket per month, one euro is taken into a raffle, the savings contributions (4 euros each) are accumulated and credited to the winning savers at the end of the year. The Volksbank takes part in the profit savings scheme of the Baden Cooperative Banks’ Profit Savings Association for its customers, where cash prizes and cars can be won every month.
Despite the profits distributed, there is still a significant surplus left over each year, from which – as recently again – charitable and non-profit organizations in the region benefit.
