New Orleans Pelicans (W8) – Oklahoma City Thunder (W1) 85:106 (BOXSCORE), Serie: 0-3

In the style of a real top team, the Thunder completed the sweep in New Orleans. It was a close game for three quarters with numerous lead changes, but OKC went on an 18-2 run over six minutes in the fourth quarter to take its first double-digit lead of the night (93-82).

Two players were the guarantors here – Josh Giddey (14, 4/6 3P) and Jalen Williams (24, 9/17, 8 rebounds). The Australian converted three long-range throws in the section, Afterwards it was Williams who also netted two three-pointers, on defense Brandon Ingram stole the ball and hit two more free throws. New Orleans would only score 9 points in the last nine minutes of the game.

The hosts did a lot of things right. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (24, 8/21, 10 rebounds) was the best scorer along with Williams, but was also cleared a few times and found his usual rhythm. Chet Holmgren (14, 5/12 FG, 1/7 3P, 9 rebounds) was also cold from outside, but once again ensured that the Pelicans left a lot of ground in the restricted area (12/27 FG).
