Four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel has admitted that a return to Formula 1 at some point in the future is quite possible and hinted in conversation with Sky Sports F1 that he is fit enough to race.
Vettel, who left Aston Martin Racing at the end of the 2022 season, shared his thoughts on a possible comeback with former Formula 1 driver Martin Brundle. Vettel discussed various aspects of his life after his departure from Formula 1, including his physical condition and the possibility of returning to the sport.

Fit enough
When asked if he is still ‘race fit’, the German responded: “Yes, but because I want to, not because I’m like ‘Yes, I’ll be back’ or ‘If someone drops out, then I won’t go’ That’s why. I don’t think my neck is up to speed, no, that can’t be. But everything else is pretty, pretty good, I’d say.” It will not be due to age for the 36-year-old Vettel, with the 42-year-old Fernando Alonso who also still shows that it is possible.
Can’t rule it out
In addition, a return of Vettel would fit in well with the list of champions who have already made their return. Names such as Niki Lauda, Alain Prost, Alonso, Kimi Räikkönen and Michael Schumacher have already preceded Vettel. “I can’t say no because you don’t know.
