It is still uncertain whether Donny van de Beek will leave Manchester United this transfer period. The English top club has immediately swept the first offer from Galatasaray off the table. Galatasaray is not the only club interested in the Orange International, as FC Lorient and Luton Town, among others, are also angling for his services.

Where will Van de Beek play after September 1? That is still the question hanging over the market. The midfielder has not been included in the plans of Manchester United for some time, which Van de Beek does not want to let go just like that. It therefore creates a difficult situation for the 26-year-old midfielder, who is still stuck in England until mid-2025.

According to The Athletic, Galatasaray was prepared to pay one million pounds, the equivalent of 1.2 million euros, to rent Van de Beek from Manchester United for a season. However, the Red Devils did not like that and hopes to get the most out of the deal. Manchester United are unable to throw any money this summer as the club is still awaiting a takeover. Despite this, Manchester United managed to sign Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina on the final day of the transfer window. As a result, space will have to be made in the salary house.

Although Manchester United have rejected Galatasaray’s first offer, that does not mean that the move is off the table. The transfer window is still open in Turkey until September 15, giving Galatasaray some time to finalize the deal. Earlier it became clear that Luton Town was also investigating the possibilities of angling Van de Beek at the last minute, but the interest is not yet concrete.
