Individual Sports to Try in the Bresle Valley and Vimeu for a Fresh Start to the School Year

There’s nothing like clearing your head than playing sports! Also, on the occasion of the start of the 2023 school year, here is a selection of individual sports to practice in the Bresle Valley and in the Vimeu.

Athletics

Friville-Escarbotin (Somme). The Athletic Club de Friville-Escarbotin is back to school and will resume training for running, Nordic walking, jumping or throwing from September 4, 2023. For the race, training will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 p.m. at the municipal stadium in Friville-Escarbotin. For walkers, 2 groups are available on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. and Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. For beginners and the youngest in athletics, meet on Wednesday afternoon from 5 p.m. For the minims and the cadets, the appointment is fixed at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, always at the municipal stadium. Badminton

Eu (Seine-Maritime). Eu Badminton Club: three sessions per week. Tuesday 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., adult free training. Friday 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., badminton school, only for young people aged 8 to 18. Friday 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., adult free training. As a family with friends or alone, the EBC welcomes you for three practice sessions with the loan of a racket if needed. Criel-Sur-Mer (Seine-Maritime). Recreational badminton. Collective training every Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. (two rooms depending on the season). Tennis room bad rue d’Yauville from April to October inclusive. Chantereine gymnasium from November to March. Everyone (under 12 accompanied by a parent). Prices: adults €30, under 18s €20. New: a bootcamp in Blangy-sur-Bresle

A new activity is offered in Blangy-sur-Bresle (Seine-Maritime). This is a bootcamp (or training camp), led by Alan Renaux, a state-certified sports coach.
It is a collective outdoor training suitable for everyone, from 15 years old and up to over 60 years old accompanied. During these constantly varied workouts, participants will perform functional movements that will improve their quality of life and allow them to regain good physical condition, all while having fun. “My goal is to help people in need who want to change according to their goals: loss of fat mass, muscle gain…” explains the coach. “It’s accessible to everyone because I adapt the movements if there has been an injury or a problem”.
The bootcamp will take place twice a week, Monday and Friday from 6 p.m. at the Blangy-sur-Bresle leisure area.

Dog training

Fressenneville (Somme). The Canicool association offers dog training courses for dogs of all ages and breeds. Classes will take place on Saturday from 2:30 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. The club is located rue du Mont-Blanc in Fressenneville, membership is €100 per year. Tennis

Ault (Sum). The Tennis Club of the Canton of Ault (TCCA) opens its doors on September 2, 6, 8, 9, 13, 15 and 16, 2023 from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., for registrations at the tennis school and renewal of subscriptions. Sports pass €50 (if eligible), Youth Pass for children residing in Ault and Mers-les-Bains (50% discount), for the first license for children under 10 years old: Racket and tennis jersey offered. Beauchamps – Bouvaincourt-sur-Bresle (Somme). Baby tennis from 4 years old on Saturdays from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Bouvaincourt gymnasium (€50 annual subscription). Young people’s lessons on Saturday according to age, from 1.30 to 2.30 p.m. for the youngest, from 2.30 to 3.30 p.m. for the middle ages and from 3.30 to 4.30 p.m. for the oldest (120 €). Fitness tennis lessons, including 1 hour of fitness and 1 hour of tennis, Monday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. (women only) at the Beauchamps gymnasium (€50). Men’s training on Thursday evening (€50). Le Treport (Seine-Maritime). Sessions open from 4 years old, with lessons on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Membership (license and access to land): €90 for an adult, €60 under 18 and €75 for students. Course prices depend on age and number of sessions (from €135 per year for young people who choose 1 hour per week to €200 per year for adults who choose 3 hours).
