UEFA Europa League Schedule Revealed, José Mourinho Suspended for Matches Against Slavia Prague

On Saturday morning, UEFA published the schedule of matches in the regular part of the Europa League. Slavia will play a doubleheader against AS Rome at the turn of September and November. However, coach José Mourinho will be missing from the bench of the Italian team, who will be serving a four-game suspension, which he received after last year’s Europa League final for insulting the referee.

Slavia was placed in Group G during Friday’s draw in Monaco. In it, they will face last year’s Europa League finalist AS Rome, Šeriff Tiraspol and Servette FC. The double-header with the Italian team promises to be an attractive spectacle, for which players such as Romelu Lukaku, Andrea Belotti, Stephan El Shaaraway shine and the highly successful coach José Mourinho figures in the coaching position.

It is the Portuguese strategist who will be able to watch both matches against the Prague team from the stands. After the Europa League final against Sevilla, he opened his mouth to the referee in the bowels of the stadium, for which UEFA punished him by not being allowed to sit on the bench in European cups. This applies to the away match against Tiraspol, the home duel with Servette FC and both matches against Slavia Prague.

Slavia reached the basic group of the Europa League through two preliminary rounds, in which they eliminated two Ukrainian teams, Dnipro and Zorya Luhansk.

This is how Slavists commented on their opponents in the basic group of the Europa League:
