The teams that reached the postseason in 2022 began this campaign with a 7-7 record in Week 1 while 10 teams won on the road in Week 1. Only the 1983 (12 teams) & 2006 (11) season recorded more victories by the visitors in Week 1.

Additionally, 11 Week 1 games had a maximum difference of one score (8 pts.) in the fourth quarter. In 2022, 203 games were recorded with that difference in the 4th. fourth, which represented the most in a season in league history. 2 games this Week will be rematches of last season’s playoff duels that were decided by a single score: Baltimore at Cincinnati & Kansas City at Jacksonville.

Bears: 11 consecutive losses dating back to last season. It is the worst streak in team history and the worst active streak in the NFL.

Justin Fields (CHI): Lost each of the last 9 games he started. It’s the worst streak for a Bears QB in the Super Bowl era.

Buccaneers: 3 straight wins at home against Bears. Their last defeat was in the 2015 season by 26-21.

Baker Mayfield (TB): Could join Ryan Fitzpatrick (2017), Rob Johnson (2002) & Shaun King (1999), as the only QBs to win their first 2 starts with Tampa Bay.

CJ Stroud (HOU): Sacked 5 times in Week 1. The last QB to suffer 5 sacks in his first 2 career games was David Carr in 2002 (also playing for the Texans).

Packers: 3rd. time in their history that they begin the season by playing their first two games as visitors.
