Tigrillos’ big bet continues to be the promotion of new local faces in the Professional Men’s Basketball League, that is the mission of the team managed by Jorge Andrés Moreno Vélez, and which will be guided by coach Luis Fernando Lopera together with Harley Córdoba Vélez.
“The base of the team is the Antioquia National Team that has been working throughout the year with a view to the National Games and now, two weeks ago, new elements have been incorporated to consolidate itself as Tigrillos and begin participation in the Professional League,” commented the assistant Harley Córdoba.
The Creole roster is made up of Steven Sanabria, David Rúa, Esneider Mosquera, Johan Rios, Juan Manuel Serrano, Miguel Lozada, Andrés Jaimes Mantilla, Norbey Aragón, Alex Fabián Londoño, Tomás Gutiérrez, Juan José Lozano and Duván Guzmán.
They were joined by Venezuelan post Luis Carrillo and the Americans (a forward and point guard).

The team will have an average age of 27 years, with Norbey Aragón being the oldest at 44 years old, and the average height of the quintet is 1.92 meters.
Tigrillos, which is part of the B conference along with Caribbean Storm, Cimarrones, Cafeteros, Team Cali and Sabios de Manizales, will be based in the city of Cali in this first part, where the first games will be played.
Thinking about that, the coaches planned important physical work supported by six hours of training a day, in which gym and court work were combined.
“We hope that the speed and good physical preparation that the group has can be consolidated with good games and victories to advance to the second phase of the tournament, we know that teams like Titanes, Caribbean and Cafeteros have been armed very well, but we trust in the group that we have,” said Córdoba Vélez.
The Antioqueños debut this Monday, against the runners-up, the Cafeteros team, a duel scheduled for noon and in less than 20 days, they will play ten games.
Then, on Tuesday at the same time, they will do so against Caribbean Strom. On Thursday at 3:00 in the afternoon they will face Sabios and on Sunday they will face the local team, Team Cali.
In the first phase, two rounds will be played, each with five matches, to define those classified for the play offs.

The Titanes de Barranquilla club, which stopped its streak of consecutive titles last season by being eliminated in the semifinals by Caribbean Strom, decided to repatriate Jonathan Rodríguez and Juan Diego Tello, who will be back with the coastal team, reinforcing the roster in which There are Juan Carlos Cárdenas, Soren De Luque, José Lozano and Andrés Carmona, among others.
Caribbean Strom, the champion, will have Luis Almanza, Andrés Salazar, Jared Corpus, Gerald Williams II, Michael Jackson and Arold Louis, among others.
Finally Cafeteros, led by Fernando Lucena, will face Octavio Munoz, Alejandro Minota, Jesus Martinez, Luis Moreno and Luis Bethelmy, among others.
This is how the professional league will be played in the country
The championship, in the second semester, will have the presence of 12 quintets that were divided into two conferences, which will play in fixed venues, Cali and Bogotá. In the capital of Valle del Cauca there will be Caribbean Storm, Cimarrones, Cafeteros, Tigrillos, Team Cali and Sabios de Manizales; while in the capital of the Republic Titans, Corsairs, Motilones, Búcaros, Condors and Pirates will do so.
The first four positions in each conference will qualify for the postseason.
The quarterfinal, semifinal and final phases will be held in the form of home and away duels. From this phase the series will be five games; while the champion will be defined after a seven-game series.
