Three Arrested for Brutal Attack on Technical Director at Montebello Vicentino High-Speed Railway Construction Site

It is the story of the brutal attack that took place on the evening of May 2nd at the Montebello Vicentino high-speed railway construction site against the technical director of the Salcef spa company in Rome. Now three men have been arrested for that episode. The operation was conducted by the Vicenza Carabinieri.

According to the prosecution, the three stood for hours outside the High Speed ​​construction site in Fracanzana di Montebello Vicentino, regardless of the video surveillance cameras, aboard a black SUV, in which they had arrived from Lombardy. As soon as their target left the construction site by crossing the entrance gate of the office area with his car, the three blocked his path with the SUV, got out of the car and, brandishing a baseball bat, opened the driver’s side door of the victim’s car. Then 20 seconds of brutal beating. Only the intervention of colleagues and workers, who had rushed to the scene in the meantime, prevented the worst.

The victim, a 66-year-old of Roman origins, was rescued. In hospital, doctors found very serious injuries. Today, months later, the manager has still not recovered.

The investigations began immediately, starting from the analysis of video surveillance images and listening to witnesses. The Parma RIS military also participated in the investigation.

The suspects are 45, 46 and 52 years old, they are all residents in the provinces of Milan and Monza Brianza and have multiple convictions for crimes against property and persons. One of them, among other things, had been subjected to the alternative measure of probationary custody to social services for over a year and would not have been able to leave the territory of Lombardy.
