“The fans like to get together for a football event in the Volkspark. I can feel the great joy of the people. The euphoria is huge,” says the former successful coach, who led HSV into the group stage of the Champions League for the first time in 2000. “This season will be a season of superlatives in league 2. The many traditional clubs will probably break all attendance records that exist.”
“Pagel” was very impressed by HSV’s strong and mature performance in the 2-0 win over Hansa: “The sporting directors Jonas Boldt and Claus Costa did a great job in the summer.
