The diocese of Albano promotes the “Time of Creation” with the “The Path to the Earth”, between Castel Gandolfo and Albano Laziale, to talk about peace and care of the common home
As per custom promoted and encouraged by Bishop Vincenzo Viva, the diocese of Albano this year too celebrates an event promoted by the Italian Episcopal Conference to underline the need to keep the themes of dialogue and integral ecology connected, and which will take place in the territory diocesan with a day of reflection and celebration on 17 September, on the theme “Let Justice and Peace flow”.
The event is organized by the diocese of Albano, in collaboration with the Laudato si’ Community of Castelli Romani and with the patronage of the municipalities of Castel Gandolfo, Albano Laziale, Marino, Ariccia and Genzano di Roma.
The interconfessional, interreligious event open to the realities of the Castelli Romani territory is characterized by two moments: the first will be “The Walk for the Earth”, a walking route animated by reflections and testimonies of the representatives of the different religions present in the territory, while the second moment will be experienced at the end of the journey, in Piazza Pia, where there will be an intervention by Bishop Vincenzo Viva.
This will be followed by a moment of celebration and entertainment curated by the gospel choir “Voices of Graces” of the Luigi Antonio Sabbatini musical association, by the ethnic dances of the “Ensamble Venezuela” association and by the Mariachi group “Sol Mexicano”. Furthermore, also in Piazza Pia, there will be stands animated by local associations involved in the issues of the environment, justice and peace. Furthermore, the “Time of Creation” will be combined this year with the 109th World Day of Migrants and Refugees which will have as its theme: “Free to choose whether to migrate or stay”.
