The Jerez de los Caballeros City Council, through the Department of Sports, opens the pre-registration period for the new 2023/2024 academic year at the Municipal Sports School and the “Program of activities for young people, adults and seniors.”
For the children’s population, the council indicates, “a total of 20 modalities are offered, highlighting as a novelty the incorporation of duathlon-triathlon.” In addition to this discipline, there are: athletics, badminton, regional dances, basketball, handball, cycling, lollipop futsal, pre-benjamín futsal, benjamín football, junior football, judo, karate, minibasketball, multi-adventure, paddle tennis, initiation to skating, table tennis , psychomotor skills, tennis, volleyball, zumba kids and multisport. This last modality is also offered as a novelty for the boys and girls of Valuengo, Brovales and La Bazana.
The Councilor for Sports, Mario Méndez, and the sports facilitator, Inmaculada Pitel, have invited the population to practice and enjoy sports, “the offer of modalities for young people, adults and seniors includes: aerobics-step, karate, paddle tennis, pilates , tennis, zumba and maintenance gymnastics, the latter two specialties that will also be taught in the three districts.
The registration period will remain open until next October 1. Interested people can register through the City Council website: www.jerezcaballeros.es, in the ‘City Hall / Registration’ section.
The course will begin in the month of October and will end at the end of May 2024.
