PERUGIA – The public meeting will be held tonight (22 September) at 6pm at Villa Taticchi, featuring Giovanni Dozzini, a writer from Perugia who will present his novel “The American Prisoner” and young people. A free entry event promoted by the Futuro Ponte association, as part of the events organized specifically to offer moments of sociality and revitalization of the area, especially involving the new generations with the aim of offering a bridge of hope for the future. A future made of culture, but also of sport.
Still in the bridges area, in fact, to encourage moments of aggregation, the Pattol club sports center was the scene, in recent days, of the conclusion of the padel, tennis, pickleball, table tennis and badminton tournaments of the “Net. Beyond networks” by Csi and Acli, financed by Sport e Salute Spa and by the sSport department of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. Twenty-five teams will meet in the Umbrian capital from 15 to 17 September to face competitions, but also moments of reflection linked to the fight against bullying and cyberbullying, an integral part of the purpose.
It all started at the Park Hotel in Perugia, the curtain opened with the show “Thirteenth Floor – the dark side of the web” on the theme of bullying and cyberbullying. The winners were also highly applauded at the end of the evening, i.e. the authors of the best interviews in the video contest proposed on the topic of bullying and cyberbullying in sport, as part of the Giffoni Experience. The two teams, also present in Perugia (Teramo For Tennis Team of the Csi and Bonacossa Milano for Us Acli), received as a prize from Marco Fronza (marketing & sponsorship director Giffoni Media Service) two plaques and the invitation to participate with their own delegation to the 2024 edition of the Giffoni Film Festival.
The hate speech was also fundamental with the meeting of Ones (Hating is not a sport), a project financed by the Italian agency for development cooperation and promoted by the Development Cooperation Volunteer Center, during which Emiliano Spinelli, e-gamer of Naples, brought his precious testimony to instructors, coaches and managers of the association. During the works, pins with the project slogan were delivered, as a sign of the desire to educate young people in a conscious and mature use of the internet, thinking about eSports projects to include and encourage participation.
NET MASTER WINNERS
Pickleball smiled at Csi with Pol. Csi Rovigo, first ahead of Csi Brescia and the other Brescia club of the Emidio Rossi Tennis School Club Azzurri.
As for the southern padel, the success was tied between Us Acli, with the ex aequo victory of the ASD New Golden Tennis Caltanissetta and the Padel Club Rende. On the table tennis tables, Asti Padel Csi placed on the podium ahead of Tt Caltanissetta (Us Acli) and Pol. Icaro Bat (Csi). The badminton shuttlecock is orange and blue with the Gardone Val Trompia team, first ahead of the Sicilian Cusn Caltanissetta and the Apulian Icaro. The city of the Leonessa also roars in tennis: gold for the Emidio Rossi Tennis School Club Azzurri, silver for the CsiBrescia, bronze for the Nisseni of the New Golden Tennis. Grand finale with the instructors of the 25 teams who rewarded their children with the participation medal and then formed, with all 200 athletes, a single great team to seal the spirit of the event: against bullying we play and everyone wins Together.
