SC Heerenveen will take on Excelsior at home on Saturday evening. The Frisians have lost the last three league matches and are desperate for three points. Analyst Jan Vlap indicates that this is a very important match for coach Kees van Wonderen and his team.
“It will be a do or diecompetition,” says Vlap at Broadcaster Abe. “That sounds very harsh, but I think it’s going that way. It will be a difficult match. It’s just that simple.”
The analyst is full of praise for the Kralingers’ trainer. “You never hear anything about Marinus Dijkhuizen’s team, but he puts it there every time. I don’t know what kind of budget they have, but they do a good job every year. A trainer is also one hundred percent involved. I think that’s very clever.”
Finally, Vlap makes another prediction. “I hope that there is a battle at Heerenveen and that they go all out. It doesn’t have to be all good, but something just has to happen. Then the audience will get behind it and then they will simply win that match.” De Vries: “Then they are still above Ajax after six games.” Vlap: “What more do you want?”
