Caught in a global media turmoil since he forcibly kissed a player after Spain’s coronation at the Women’s World Cup, the president of the Spanish Federation is pulling out his claws.
Suspended Spanish Football Federation president Luis Rubiales said on Friday he would continue to defend himself “to prove the truthafter Spain’s Sports Administrative Court (TAD) opened disciplinary proceedings against him for forcibly kissing player Jenni Hermoso.
«I continue to trust the independence of the bodies where this question must be resolved, despite the fact that the political pressures and those of certain media are as self-serving as they are brutal and that information on this subject is the subject of a multitude manipulation, lies and censorship“, denounced Rubiales in a press release published by the newspaper El Mundo.
