Jorrel Hato is one of the few bright spots of this Ajax. This is also seen abroad. The 17-year-old defender has been linked with a move to Liverpool.
The transfer market has just closed, but in January clubs can spend money on new players again. On the website FootballTransfers it can be read that Hato is ‘high on The Reds’ wish list’.
However, Ajax does not seem to be able to afford Hato’s departure. He is a regular player in coach Maurice Steijn’s team and the club has also said goodbye to several defenders (including Jorge Sánchez, Calvin Bassey, Owen Wijndal and Jurriën Timber). The very young talent still has a contract with the Amsterdam team until 2025.
