The Portuguese Rui Costa (Intermarche) Has been imposed in the fifteenth stage of the Vuelta a España, held between Pamplona and Lekunberri, 158.3 km, and the American Sepp Kuss (Jumbo Visma) maintained the leader’s red jersey.
Rui Costa, 36, won a reduced sprint of three runners ahead of the German Lennard Kamna (Bora) and Colombian Santiago Buitrago (Bahrain). The peloton with the men fighting for the final victory reached the finish line at 2.52 minutes.
The general classification remains unchanged, with Sepp Kuss in the leadfollowed by his teammates from Jumbo Visma Primoz Roglic y Jonas Vingegaard, a 1.37 y 1.44 minutes, respectively. Fourth is the Spanish Juan Ayuso (UAE), at 2.37.
This Monday the Vuelta moves to Cantabria to enjoy the second day of rest. On Tuesday the 120.1 km Liencres-Bejes stage will be held.
