The Molise referee engaged in the direction of the races
The 2023 Paralympic European Championships were held in Rotterdam, for the first time with ten different parasport disciplines competing for the continental title, which decreed the Paralympic European Champions and gave the pass to the Paris 2024 Paralympics. From Tuesday 8 to Sunday 20 August 2023 over fifteen hundred Paralympic athletes from forty-five different European countries competed in the various Paralympic disciplines: Badminton, Basketball, Paralympic Boccia, Cycling, Judo, Tennis, Taekwondo, Target Shooting, Archery and Torball. The referee from Iserni Carmine Iacovella has been summoned for the competitions in the specialties of Parabadminton in wheelchairs WH1 and Wh2, lower limb amputees SL3 and SL4, upper limb amputees SU5 and short stature SH6.”I am happy for the call – the comment by Carmine Iacovella – which honors me and enhances the activity in the sport that I practice and represent. It was a wonderful experience that allows further growth to my work done so far; here I was able to referee high-level athletes who participated in the previous Tokyo Paralympics and who will participate in the next Paris Paralympics in 2024. It was interesting to observe and learn about the organization and schedule of top-level competitions with protocols and activities created at hoc.
