PSG wins in Bordeaux

A week after their setback against Olympique Lyonnais for the Trophée des champions (0-2), the Parisiennes started the Championship with a clear success in Bordeaux, this Sunday evening at the Chaban-Delmas stadium. Patrice Lair’s players held out for half an hour against Grace Geyoro’s teammates, who finished in five minutes. They opened the scoring with a penalty from Sakina Karchaoui after a foul by Marion Haelewyn on Lieke Martens (1-0, 30th).

The left side of PSG hurt as she then served Sandy Baltimore perfectly behind for a recovery from the left and the 2-0 in stride (33rd), before finding Grace Geyoro in depth for a strike from the right which cheated on Justine Lorond.

In the second half, Gérard Prêcheur’s players were unable to press further but there was the great return of Marie-Antoinette Katoto in the last quarter of an hour, fourteen months after her serious injury to her right knee. After the international break, PSG will host OL for a new shock during the 2nd day of the Championship (October 1).
