TIJUANA, SEPTEMBER 21, 2023.- The “Working for Healthy Youth” programwas launched by the head of the Institute of Sports and Physical Culture of Baja California, Erik “The Terrible” Morales, before students who make up the Industrial and Services Technological Baccalaureate Center (CBTis 237), located in the Mariano Matamoros neighborhood, in the Eastern Zone of Tijuana.
The program consists of the provision, by the INDE, of sports equipment to 30 Higher Secondary Education schools, in addition to the holding of motivational and nutritional talks in favor of the students.
The day took place in the audiovisual room, home of the “Potros” of CBTis 237, where the director of the team, Gumercindo Quintero López, was present, as well as the young bronze medalist of the judo discipline of the NC2023, Julio Armando Ávila Ríos, and the director of Physical Culture for the INDE in Baja California, Isaac Guerra Montaño.
During the day, it provided a good student environment and in which Morales delivered sports equipment for the benefit of the students of the technological high school so that they could carry out their training within their facilities.
By using his voice, the seven-time boxing world champion in four different divisions, made the young attendees aware that the parastatal is carrying out two very important programs that have a lot to do with each other. , “Working for a Healthy Youth” and “If you take drugs, you harm yourself”, as indicated by the governor, Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda.

Many take the easy path of drugs, listening to their friends, but others listen to their parents, prepare with effort, and by putting a lot of heart into it, they can become someone. important,” he said.
“El Terrible” Morales spoke about the needs he had to face in his childhood but he knew how to get ahead with the support of his parents. During his student years he decided between his studies and his passion for boxing.
“I tell you young people, don’t let anyone cut you off from your dreams, if you set your mind to it later than sooner you will achieve it,” he expressed to the students present.
