Fourth test match, third victory: The Niners Chemnitz underlined their strong form two weeks before the start of the Bundesliga on September 27th at the German champions Ulm. Rodrigo Pastore’s team clearly won their preparation game on Wednesday (September 13th) against league rivals MBC Syntainics after halftime deficit with 97:76 (43:54). In front of 800 fans, Niners newcomer Wesley Van Beck was the best scorer with 21 points. At the MBC, Martin Breunig and the newcomers Stefan Bircevic, Chris-Ebou Ndow and Diante Baldwin, four players scored more than 10 points.
The Saxons had previously won against first division team Rostock and second division team Nuremberg. They only suffered a defeat against league rivals Würzburg. Before the opening game in the Bundesliga, the Chemnitz team will test against Oldenburg next week.
