Necol and Gordon put a brilliant finishing touch to the summer at the Sopela fronton

They had been the most consistent throughout the summer, and this Friday night they confirmed it in the final of the Pala Tour circuit held at the Sopela fronton, which recorded a great entry. Necol and Gordon have won the trophy after a match from less to more in which they have ended up imposing their power against Maldonado and Urrutia. They started out quite uncomfortable, but the moment they managed to settle on the field and better understand each other, they changed the dynamics of the match and their rivals were unable to stop them.

The Argentinian and the man from Armintza started like a shot under the intense prevailing heat. More involved in the game, they surprised in the first game because they placed the ball well on the wall and their rivals lacked communication. Necol wanted to go in on too many balls and was not successful (3-10).

They improved in the second set, but it cost them a lot. The blues have continued to be in tune with the first partial victory and have come to have a four-goal advantage beyond the halfway mark (3-7). But just as Gordon became more active, things began to go wrong for his rivals. He moved the ball well, gained confidence and got his forward into the match. And they were fortunate that Urrutia’s last serve went long (10-9).

Fusto and Alkorta

The error had its weight on the Argentine and Armintza, who faded in the third game. It has had the opposite effect on his opponents who, after saving the furniture, have grown to load Urrutia with work and begin to better exploit the Frenchman’s punch. With the local defender safe behind, they immediately opened a gap in the light. Maldonado and Urrutia wanted to but they couldn’t hold on because at this point the Colorados were already grown and the Frenchman closed the set with three nice goals (10-4).

They were one for the conclusion but they had to fight it. The blues had no choice but to improve and have been involved in the fourth game until the tie at four. From then on, the winners have shown that they had one more gear. They have canceled out the forward and have found the gaps with speed to take the victory after 426 shots in just over 51 minutes. Fusto and Alkorta finished third after winning (3-0 –8-10, 8-10, 9-10–) over Gaubeka and Ibai Pérez.
