The well-known NBA player, Kevin Porter Jr., was arrested on charges of assaulting and attempting to strangle his girlfriend. The incident occurred at the Millennium Hotel in New York, where the couple was staying. According to the police report, the girlfriend had locked Porter out of their room, but he gained access with the help of hotel security and then perpetrated the attack.
A police spokesperson said: “Upon officers’ arrival, a 26-year-old female was reported to have a laceration to the right side of her face and was complaining of neck pain. A preliminary investigation at the scene revealed that a known individual l ‘He struck her body several times and put his hands around her neck.’
The victim, identified as former WNBA player Kysre Gondrezick, was transported to the hospital for medical evaluation.
