There is great anticipation in Monterosso Calabro: on Sunday 24 September, for the first time in its history, what has been defined as one of the most evocative villages in Calabria will host the Pallacanestro Viola Reggio Calabria on the occasion of the Basketball Festival.
The activities scheduled in the multipurpose area of Monterosso will begin at 3 pm with the quadrangular tournament between the youth teams of Pallacanestro Viola, Nuovo Basket Soverato, Pallacanestro Vibo Valentia and PizzoPlayGround. In addition to young players, the clubs will be represented by presidents, coaches and team managers.
The arrival of the black and orange team, which by history is among the most famous in southern Italy, will be expected around 5pm. The whole day and the scheduled matches will be accompanied by an exceptional commentary, that of Giovanni Mafrici, an expert journalist sportsman and member of the Viola Press Office.
