Naranjeros de Hermosillo is reinforced with a major league player

Foreign reinforcements continue to arrive at Naranjeros de Hermosillo, facing the 2023-24 Season of the Mexican Pacific Arco League, now being the major league infielder, Carter Kieboom, who will join the preseason, from the Washington Nationals.

The one born on September 3, 1997 in Marietta, Georgia, plays third base, so it is expected to see a lot of activity in the Sonoran third base.

Kieboom came to professional baseball when he was drafted in 2016 by the Washington Nationals in the first round (28th overall) and reached the Major Leagues in 2019 at the age of 21.

In the branches, where he has played for six seasons, the American has been a good hitter, averaging .279 with 439 hits, 92 doubles, 9 triples and 56 home runs, scoring 278 runs and driving in another 256.

Currently, at 26 years old, he has reached the “Big Ten” in four seasons, always having a minimal role (he has played 130 games), so he hopes that his stay in Mexican winter baseball will help him continue to establish himself.

In 2023, the third baseman spent most of his time in AAA, but he also went up to the Nationals from time to time, playing 24 games for 16 hits, two doubles and three full-round hits, scoring 10 runs and producing 8 more, with an average of .211.

For his part, in the branches he played 44 games, where he blew the wall six times and drove in 25 runs for a batting average of .256.

Kieboom, with his 1.83 height, also has a reliable arm and enough glove for the third base, so he will be an important reinforcement for Naranjeros.
