Recently, it was disputed National Taekwondo Championship in NaguanaguaCarabobo state, in which the Mérida team won five gold, nine silver and ten bronze medals, a sum that placed it in fourth place in the martial arts competition.
The national championship was reserved for the taekwondo players of the cadet and youth categories, who received the support and backing from the governor, Jehyson Guzmanthrough the Merideño Institute for Sports, Physical Activity and Physical Education (Imdafef).
It should be noted that the Miranda state team, which attended with 84 athletes, emerged as champion of the competition after accumulating 193 points, while the Carabobo delegation, with 56 athletes, took second place on the podium with 104 and Anzoátegui placed in third place with 93 points.
