The weekend of September 9 and 10, 2023 will remain engraved in the memory of four members of the Châteaubriant Tennis Club (Loire-Atlantique), the TCC.

Baptiste, Capucine, David and Matthieu had the exceptional opportunity to participate in the Greenweez Paris Major, one of the most prestigious padel tournaments in the world.

Padel, a booming sport in France, is a racket discipline which borrows elements from tennis, squash and badminton. Played on an enclosed rectangular court, surrounded by glass or metal walls, there are around eight million players worldwide.

For two years, the Greenweez Paris Major has taken up residence at Roland-Garros, thus becoming a major event in the world of padel.

Baptiste and Capucine, two young members of the TCC, had the privilege of setting foot on the Philippe Chatrier court during the men’s semi-final of the competition.

They accompanied the entry of the two future champions of the tournament, the Spaniard Arturo Coello and the Argentinian Agustin Tapia. The TCC shared this incredible experience on their Facebook page, simply commenting: “What memories for them! »

The next day, Sunday September 10, 2023, two other members of the Châteaubriant club (Loire-Atlantique), David and Matthieu, had the incredible luck of being drawn among all the winners of P100 in France, a tournament category in padel.

They were thus invited to participate in the celebrity tournament. Among the personalities present we could find Christophe Jallet, former football player of the French team, Cyril Hanouna, famous TV presenter, or Thierry Omeyer and Daniel Narcisse, two former winners of the Olympic Games with the French handball team .

David and Matthieu continued their adventure by attending the men’s and women’s finals of the tournament, from the luxurious VIP boxes of the Roland-Garros stadium.
