NBA – Lakers: A star shows a big disappointment with LeBron James

Lonzo Ball has decided to retire from the courts as of next season. The NBA will therefore be deprived of the immense talent of the second pick of the 2017 Draft. He also remembered his debut in the North American league, the debut he had made with the Lakers. And not everything had gone as planned for the former teammate of LeBron James.
Times are tough for Lonzo Ball. At the lowest morally, the leader has put his career on hold. His knee injury does not allow him to splash the NBA of his talent and it’s a shame because the Californian by birth never really lived up to the expectations placed on him. He had arrived in NBA in 2017 with the Lakers who had chosen him second in the Draft a few months earlier. The following year, LeBron James had joined the City of Angels but Lonzo Ball regrets the fact of having rubbed shoulders with the King for only one season, which was cut short by injuries.
“I admit it was a bit difficult”
Lonzo Ball first recounted the ordeal he experienced during his first season with the Lakers. “You never really know what to expect when you come to a new environment, especially in the NBA. For me, it was very different from university… In the NBA, you don’t choose where you land, it just depends on the projects of each franchise and who needs what in their workforce. But for me, it was just about trying to work hard and learn. I admit it was a bit difficult because when I came to the Lakers, the first year, we had no veterans or leadership. It was just a group of young people, a young coach, and we were all trying to adapt at the same time. I don’t think we were on the same page that year, but it changed a bit the following season with the arrivals of Rondo, LeBron and other veterans on the team,” said the leader in the From The Point podcast. Unfortunately, Lonzo Ball et LeBron James were injured and he had left the Lakers at the end of the season. A feeling of unfinished business for the 25-year-old player.
“I really wish we could see what might have happened next”
“In the league, it’s important that you are shown the path to follow. It was going well but we were all injured in this second year. Other than that, I don’t regret anything. I played for my hometown team, it was a dream come true for me. With LeBron, it was literally night and day, and I really wish we could see what might have happened next,” added Lonzo Ball.
