Lobnig as second in the World Cup quarterfinals

Magdalena Lobnig reached the quarter-finals on Sunday in Belgrade on her comeback in singles as second in her World Cup heat. The 2021 bronze medalist was around half a second slower than Bulgaria’s Desislava Angelova but advanced to the next round well ahead of third on Wednesday.

Lobnig is currently working solo because her sister Katharina has to miss the planned World Cup in double sculls due to a back injury.
