The internal accusation: Eberl allegedly spent more time with his girlfriend, TV presenter Natascha Fruscella (49), in Munich than in Saxony.
In January 2022, Eberl resigned as Gladbach manager in tears because he felt burned out. But he still remained formally under contract.
That’s why Gladbach was able to collect a transfer fee from Leipzig when they made the move. Basic sum 2.5 million euros. With bonuses (e.g. at a Leipzig championship) 6 million euros would be due.
