KFC Uerdingen Fans Show Support Despite Miserable Season Start as Cup Game Against MSV Duisburg Nearly Sold Out

KFC Uerdingen got off to a bad start in the league season and the cup highlight against MSV Duisburg is still a month away. But it’s almost sold out now.

The fans of KFC Uerdingen continue to beat the club down despite the miserable start to the season.

For the Lower Rhine Cup highlight on October 11th (7:30 p.m.) against third division team MSV Duisburg, the Grotenburg is almost sold out after just a few hours – as a reminder: the stadium capacity is currently only 2,000 seats.

“WOW! After just three hours, 1,750 tickets for the cup game against MSV Duisburg are already sold out. Currently only club members and season ticket holders can purchase tickets for the cup game! So if you still want a ticket, you should hurry up,” it says on the Facebook page KFC Uerdingen website.

If the team of coach and sports director Marcus John wants to get a taste of the surprise against Duisburg in a month or even manage it, then they should gain a lot of self-confidence by then. Because after five league match days there are just five points – one win, two draws – on the KFC account.

Next Friday (September 15th, 8 p.m.) KFC will have another chance to improve its points account. Then 1. FC Kleve will be guests in Grotenburg – then in front of almost 2,000 spectators.
