Jago Geerts Makes Transition from MX2 to MXGP for Next Season

For Jago Geerts, Sunday was his last race in MX2, because the 23-year-old Belgian will switch to the MXGP next season.

Geerts finished 3rd in the 1st series in Great Britain and won the 2nd series. With this he finished in the GP standings ahead of the German Simon Längenfelder, who had won the 1st series, but only finished 4th in the 2nd series. World champion Andrea Adamo came 3rd.

Liam Everts rode to 6th place, brothers Lucas and Sacha Coenen finished 11th and 17th respectively.

In the final standings of the World Cup, Jago Geerts is 2nd, just like the past 3 seasons. Liam Everts falls just short of the World Cup podium in 4th. Lucas Coenen finishes 5th in the World Cup standings, Sacha Coenen is 14th.
