Starting from Monday 18 September the opening hours of the “Bruno Martellotta” Municipal Library will be extended. 9am to 9.30pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 6pm Friday and Saturday.
The new timetable will be tested on an experimental basis for the rest of 2023 and starting from the beginning of 2024, through collaboration with the Civil Service and the SCR Consortium, it will be extended until 10pm.
Grottaferrata will thus be the first Municipality of the Castelli Romani to experiment with this innovation, possible thanks to the economic resources allocated by the Di Bernardo Administration to allow the opening of the premises and the presence of library staff, making the service even more efficient and accessible to users. .
“Excellent news for all the young people of Grottaferrata and neighboring Municipalities – explains the Mayor Mirko Di Bernardo -. Our Library thus adapts to European standards, meeting the needs of the many university students who attend it. We strongly wanted this provision, financed with municipal resources and already announced last July 8 during the planning conference, and we are pleased that the SCR Consortium has accepted and shared it. I thank the director of the SCR Consortium Giacomo Tortorici, the president of the SCR Consortium Giuseppe De Righi and the president of the Culture Commission of the Municipality of Grottaferrata Veronica Pavani. An important result for the benefit of our large youth community”.
