Grafing – year after year, the athletes from the Bear City show exceptional top performances. The city of Grafing is also aware of these special “advertising media” and therefore holds an honors evening to honor the outstanding successes. Like recently at a reception in the town hall.

In this appropriate setting, Mayor Christian Bauer was able to shake many hands. “Grafing and sport – they simply belong together,” he said in his speech, which was also heard by BLSV district chairwoman Ingrid Golanski and club chairmen Anna Hopfes (TSV Grafing), Josef Fertich (SG 1809 Grafing) and Sascha Kaefer (EHC Klostersee). was followed closely. “The excellent performances of the teams and individual athletes speak for themselves.”

Trainers share responsibility for success

An example here is the U20 youth formation of EHC Klostersee, which achieved promotion from the Bayernliga to the German Youth League III above it. And in the short track, the EHC has three Bavarian youth champions in its ranks: Michael Ulrich, David Huber and Jonathan Röskenbleck. The latter also became German champion.

The TSV Grafing gymnasts are happy about an individual Gaumeister (Vivia Lang) in the E-Youth division, who also took first place with her team in the Wendelstein gymnastics division (Lara Hefferle, Liana Vogt, Leoni Kitze, Evelina Hozhii). Chiara Quattrer became the individual regional and district champion in the F-youth, while TSV colleague Hannah Wieser came second in the older girls in the B-youth. Erin Döring (A-Youth) also took home the district title. The trainers Anja Weiße, Nia-Sophie Fritsch and Lena Schmidt-Bäse, who were also awarded a medal, are partly responsible for the success.

The shooting club is also well represented

The shooting club was also well represented. Marion Wolinski (including Bavarian champion KK 3×20 shot women III), Andreas Berngehrer, Stanislav Golubenko and – in his absence – Nils Bergfeld, Michael Oberndorfner (all district league promotion sports pistol) and Helmut Stengeli (district champion central fire pistol men) were also warmly congratulated.

The people who are never missing in Grafing are the TSV volleyball players, whether they’re great in the sand or in the hall. They were “the winners of the evening,” said Bauer. The division has national title holders in the beach version through Robin Bein (U16) and Matti Burmann (U17). The junior teams won numerous prizes. The mayor invited the U18 (1st Bavaria, 5th DM) onto the stage as well as the U16 and U20 groups, who, as Bavarian champions, also brought the DM title to the bear city. The first men’s team, which promptly managed to return as runners-up in the 3rd league after the bitter relegation from the 2nd Bundesliga last season, was also not missing.

Judoka and track and field athlete rounded off the honor

And the TSV handball division was also strongly represented: not only by the regional league champions of the female C youth, but by four individual honours: top scorer Leoni Schreiber, Anna Sewald (Bayern squad, born in 2008) and Pia Menzel, who was part of the The district selection that became Bavarian champions comes from the youth sector. Michael Löw was also honored for his throwing strength: The Grafinger is the top scorer in the men’s district league.

The judoka from TSV, promoted to the Bayernliga, and track and field athlete Geneva Risse (including Bayern bronze in Block Sprit) rounded off the honor marathon. All honorees received much applause. Behind this are “dedicated coaches, supervisors, helpers and parents, without whom these successes would not have been possible,” said Mayor Christian Bauer, concluding the sports award.
