Gabriele Adorno Takes Silver in International Judo Tournament

PRESS RELEASE

MURTEN (SUI) – The competitive season of Kodokan Cremona got off to a good start thanks to the silver of Gabriele Adorno, called up to the Lombardy U18 representative team in the international judo tournament in Murten, near Bern.
The Kodokan athlete took second place in the heavyweight category (+90 kg) with a record of three victories and only one defeat. Adorno beat his French opponents Yanis Bouchareb (Mulhouse judo) and Nassim Kebdaoui (Judo Saint Denis) by ippon; then, in the semi-final, he overcame his compatriot Federico Barban (ProPatria Busto Arsizio). In the final, however, Adorno was opposed to Nicolò Assi (Robur er Fides Varese), an opponent he knows well and whom he had already overcome in previous Italian Championships. This time, however, it was his opponent who prevailed, relegating the Cremonese judoka to second place in his first international outing in an official call-up.
