Football: Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, Russia, Greece, Belgium… These countries where the transfer window is still open

Last Friday, the major championship transfer windows came to an end. France, Italy, Germany, England, the Netherlands and Spain closed a still turbulent transfer period, during which big transactions were legion, like the arrival Jude Bellingham to Real Madrid for 103 million or that of Declan Rice against a check for 116 million euros.

But this transfer window is not completely over. A few countries are opening the door to transfers for a few more days. This is particularly the case of Saudi Arabia, extremely active this summer, which can still add talents to its Saudi Pro League. However, the closing date remains unclear. While FIFA announced September 20, the Saudi League issued a statement to clarify that it would finally be September 7.

Qatar and the United Arab Emirates can strengthen

Qatar, which is particularly interested in Julian Draxler and Marco Verratti, both pushed to the exit at Paris Saint-Germain, can also still conclude transactions. The two midfielders have until September 18 to seal an agreement before the transfer window closes definitively.

Among the Gulf countries, the United Arab Emirates can also loosen the purse strings. The Emirates Club, the new club of Andres Iniesta, can try to surround its star until September 21. It will be the last country to close its transfer window.

Several minor European transfer windows open

Transfer windows from five European countries are also still open. Belgium still have the possibility of finding bargains until Wednesday 6 September. An arrival of Kasper Schmeichel, the former goalkeeper of OGC Nice, in Anderlecht is in particular under discussion.

Turkey can continue shopping. This is what will allow Rennais Flavien Tait to join Samsunspor, as we announced on Monday. Tanguy Ndombele, the tricolor midfielder from Tottenham, has been loaned to Galatasaray.

Switzerland (07/09), Greece (11/09) and Russia (14/09) can also welcome new players. The transfer window is therefore still far from over, and potential surprises could occur until September 21.
