CASTIGLION FIORENTINO
It will be a great day of sport in Castiglion Fiorentino, everything is ready for the first edition of the “Castiglioni Sport Village”, the great party for children and teenagers dedicated to those who love and practice sport with many sporting disciplines sponsored by CONI. This morning at 10 am the ribbon cutting is scheduled for the “Fontesecca” sports area, at the entrance to the municipal swimming pool. From that moment on, the over 20 sports associations will host a day dedicated to physical activity with performances and presentations that will continue throughout the morning and afternoon.
In particular, in the morning, from 10am to 1pm, the following activities are planned: archery, football and women’s five-a-side football, rugby and judo; while in the afternoon, from 3pm to 6pm, athletics, taekwondo, rhythmic and artistic gymnastics, cycling and horse riding will come on stage with demonstration performances by dance schools and kick boxing. Present both in the morning and in the afternoon orienteering, volleyball, padel and tennis, electric motorbikes and soft air. There will also be two refreshment points, one at the Castiglionese Tennis Club and one at the Palazzetto dello Sport.
“A special thanks to all the sports associations who willingly joined the initiative which I hope will be the first of a long series. The intent is to help children and young people choose their own discipline while giving due pride to our associative realities and their athletes who have always carried the name of Castiglion Fiorentino high” declares the third sector councilor Chiara Cappelletti. “Sport, in all its disciplines, is the link par excellence between physical and social well-being, and together with councilor Cappelletti we organized this event precisely to make all citizens aware of the numerous sporting activities present in Castiglion Fiorentino. Castiglioni Sport Village is an initiative that enriches our community at 360°” concludes city councilor Marcello Orlandesi.
