Germany, which is in crisis, lost to Japan in a practice match on Saturday, partly due to a goal by Feyenoord striker Ayase Ueda: 1-4. Feyenoord striker Santiago Giménez missed a penalty on behalf of Mexico, but PSV player Ricardo Pepi did score for the United States.

The German team made a lackluster impression throughout the match and only shot twice on target. Takuma Asano and Ao Tanaka signed for the 1-3 and 1-4 in the final phase. After that goal, the stadium in Wolfsburg emptied with disappointed fans.
The defeat will further shake Flick’s position. The former coach of Bayern Munich was already under fire after the disappointing World Cup, where Germany was eliminated in the group stage. The team will not play any qualifying matches this year because, as the organizing country, it is already assured of participation in the European Championship.

Pepi scored a goal in the USA’s 3-0 victory in a friendly against Uzbekistan. The PSV attacker scored the second goal as a substitute in injury time. In addition to Pepi, his teammates Sergiño Dest and Malik Tillman also played for the US.
The Netherlands is currently working on European Championship qualification for next year’s tournament in Germany. The team of national coach Ronald Koeman will kick off their visit to Ireland on Sunday at 8.45 pm.
