Ferrières-en-Gâtinais. Discovery of the richness of sports. On Sunday, the Gâtinais Sports Entente had a great success for the Sports Festival in Ferrières-en-Gâtinais, with good feedback from families and more than three hundred visitors.
Thus, the swimming section organized the first “Aquathon” in the canton, which brought together around thirty participants, children, adolescents and adults. Children’s cross country also attracted around thirty young athletes. The program for this sunny day was rich with introductions to archery, climbing, basketball and football tournaments, initiations and demonstrations at the martial arts dojo such as judo, jujitsu, taiso and taekwondo.
The association, which brings together more than thirty sporting disciplines in twenty-three sections, has more than 1,600 members in the territory of the 4 Vallées community of communes. Just like in previous years, but with the excitement around the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the ESG will promote sport for the youngest as well as among the disabled, carrying out actions towards schools via dedicated activities.
