What is Tuchel doing in Bayern training?
From 10.30 a.m. Goretzka, Alphonso Davies (22/no international matches with Canada) and Bouna Sarr (31) had fitness and passing exercises with Tuchel’s new fitness trainer Nicolas Mayer (41/came from Paris Saint-Germain in mid-July ) on the program.
Instead of fitness boss Prof. Dr. Holger Broich (48) led Mayer’s warm-up and almost all of the exercises in the first hour of trio training.
In a wildly changing mix of English with a French accent, snippets of German words and French for Sarr, the new fitness coach chased the stars across the lawn.

Head coach Thomas Tuchel (50) spent almost the entire first half hour sitting on a ball and leaning against the boards. With his cap pulled low over his face, he observed the unit with a rather skeptical look.
Then the coach spoke for 15 minutes on the sidelines with the new top talent developer Richard Kitzbichler (49/came with sports director Christoph Freund).

Goretzka looked as skeptical and serious as Tuchel in the first 60 minutes of the session on Monday. Then the mood got significantly better…

At the end of the unit, the trainers had come up with a soccer-golf course!
The three stars and coaches had to aim from the corner flag into the center circle, then through two yellow opponent dummies at the other end of the pitch. From there the shot from behind into an upturned goal was required. Afterwards, a neon camisole had to be hit on the fence, and finally in a green XL bin on the next square.

Goretzka narrowly missed the last barrel and did a flying roll. Great fun – also for Tuchel, who was kicking along. He had previously hit the course accurately!
