FC Barcelona’s Raphinha Suffers Injury in Game Against Sevilla: Expected to Miss Several Matches

FC Barcelona has confirmed this Saturday a injury to Brazilian player Raphinha after this Friday night’s game at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium in Montjuïc before the Sevilla.

The winger suffers an injury “to the femoral biceps of his right thigh.” The former Leeds player left the pitch in the 35th minute after putting his hand on the back of his leg. Raphinha was injured while trying to finish off a ball after being unmarked in depth. Fermin Lopezwho also scored in Son Moix, came in his place.

According to the first scans, Raphinha would be out for at least a month, so he could recover around first classic of the season against Real Madrid, which is next October 28th. What is certain is that he will not even be in front of the Porto in Do Dragao or in front of Granada in Los Carmenes.

The Brazilian would also miss the matches against Athletic y Shakhtaron October 22 and 25, respectively.

With this injury, Raphinha joins Pedri and Frenkie de Jong in the culé infirmary.
