Dream (Défi Raid Ensemble l’Aventure en Morvan) Organizes Inclusive Sporting Raid in Autun

Like every year, Dream (Défi Raid Ensemble l’Aventure en Morvan) organizes a sporting raid bringing together teams made up of able-bodied people and people with disabilities. On October 7 and 8, an appointment is made in Autun, at the lake in the valley, as part of the EDF ADN Tour circuit, supported by the French Handisport Federation and EDF.

84 participants are registered. “The idea is to allow people to discover activities, to demonstrate that ultimately we can do lots of things, even when we are paraplegic or quadriplegic, if we adapt the environment and the equipment a little bit”, said Tom Herard, president of Dream. Among the activities: orienteering, archery, archery, blowgun shooting, sports shooting – with pistols and rifles, all-terrain wheelchairs, canoeing, blind football. An urban route in the town of Autun will also be offered.

On Saturday evening, a concert will be open to the public. “The idea is really to encourage meetings and exchanges between able-bodied people, people with disabilities, from all sides. So come whoever wants, everyone is welcome,” concludes Tom Herard.
