Dennis te Kloese, general manager of Feyenoord, will immediately take over Edwin van der Sar’s place at the European Club Association (ECA). Van der Sar, who suffered a cerebral hemorrhage this year, was a director at the most important organization of football clubs in Europe for ten years, reports The Telegraph.

Te Kloese will remain active at Feyenoord and will combine the position. Partly thanks to the status of the Netherlands and the achievement of the Champions League, the 49-year-old director will be part of a group of directors that comes from the absolute top clubs, such as Borussia Dortmund, Paris St. Germain, Tottenham Hotspur (Daniel Levy, who Arne Slot to London), Inter, Arsenal and Atletico Madrid.

It is important for the Netherlands to have a voice within the ECA, which is recognized as an independent party by both UEFA and FIFA.
