Joao Felix and João Cancelo showed impressive performance in Barcelona. The Catalan giants are considering making the Portuguese duo permanent.
Felix and Cancelo join Barca on loan for 2023/2024. Felix was recruited from Atletico Madrid, while Cancelo departed from Manchester City.
At the start of this season, both of them appeared impressive. Before the result of Barcelona’s 2-2 match against Mallorca, Joao Felix had scored three goals and three assists in the first match in LaLiga. Meanwhile, Joao Cancelo provided two goals plus one assist in five appearances.
The presence of Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo helped Barca maintain the top of the standings with a two-point advantage over eternal rivals, Real Madrid (3). Barcelona director Deco emphasized that his party was only focused on monitoring the performances of the two players until the end of the season.
“I’ve known him since he started in Portugal. He’s always been different, with different qualities. I’m happy he’s with us,” Deco was quoted as saying Brand.
“There’s been a lot of talk about his worth and a little bit of talk about his game. The important thing is that he’s happy. He’s contributing both at match level and in the dressing room.”
